Central
Register of Smoking Cessation Therapists (CRSCT)
Yellow Pages
Corporate Advertising Scheme Announced
We are delighted to
announce that, due to the numbers of practitioners who have joined this
initiative,
Yellow Pages has agreed to allow a
corporate scheme, specifically for the CRSCT, to be included within its entire
range of printed Directories. All participants should begin
to receive invitations to consider taking space in the CRSCT corporate box
within their local Directory area shortly. This is the first time that Yellow
Pages has approved a scheme specifically for smoking cessation therapists and
bears testimony to our excellent rate of growth.
The
Central Register of Smoking Cessation Therapists
has thus got off to a most promising start and is now fully functioning. It may
be viewed directly from the home page of the GHR website at
www.general-hypnotherapy-register.com
where there is a prominent link near the top of the page.
It is the GHR’s intention to create a much-needed national
resource for those seeking to rid themselves of the smoking habit via
non-pharmaceutical methods and to ensure that this resource is maintained and
administered in as ethical a fashion as possible. Should such a mission
statement meet your own ambitions for the professional delivery of your service
to those seeking to become non-smokers, then you may well wish to consider
joining us within this exciting new venture. Unlike the other GHR special
interest categories (which are administered internally on an all-inclusive fee
basis), in order to adequately fund both the additional administrative work and
ongoing promotional activity that will be required, there will be a cost
implication for registration (which will include an annual Registration
Certificate) but this will always be significantly discounted for practitioners
who maintain GHR registration.
We also believe very strongly that such a Register, if it is to
be taken seriously as a professional and ethical resource, must be subject to
properly applied administrative procedures, not least in order that we may
assist practitioners in avoiding unwelcome attention from the Advertising
Standards Authority (ASA) and Trading Standards in regard to their smoking
cessation claims and associated marketing practices.
The CRSCT features prominently within the GHR website (already
highly ranked within all major search engines) where it is publicised as an
entirely separate entity in its own right. We confidently anticipate that client
interest will expand significantly over the coming months (not least due to the
recent UK wide ban on smoking in public places).
